Clinical & Teaching Interests: 

Dr. Torres is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the GRU/UGA Medical partnership. He graduated cum laude with a BS in Biochemistry from Temple University Honors Program in 2000. He received his MD from Temple University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2007. Holding board certification in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Torres has had experience working in urban community and academic emergency department settings. In Philadelphia, he was a clinical professor at Einstein Medical Center Emergency Department where he worked with residents in their community affiliate hospital. In Houston, he worked full time at a community hospital and was also an adjunct clinical professor for Baylor College of Medicine where he directly supervised and taught residents and medical students at Ben Taub General Hospital.

Dr. Torres is passionate about teaching and believes that the Emergency Department is a unique and valuable clinical setting for House Staff to learn the science and art of medicine.
