Petros George Nikolinakos, MD, CPI (Certified Principal Investigator), is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. He joined University Cancer and Blood Center in September 2009 after completing fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center in Houston.
An author and cancer researcher, Dr. Nikolinakos has published on a variety of clinical and basic science cancer topics in The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Cancer Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Oncogene, American Journal of Hematology, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and the Journal of Thoracic Oncology. His abstracts have been presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).
Dr. Nikolinakos is the director and principal investigator of the clinical trials program at UCBC. Dr. Nikolinakos has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at Georgia Regents University since February 2010. He currently serves as the chair of the lung cancer sub-committee for the Accelerated Community Oncology Research Network (ACORN).
