Clinical & Teaching Interests: 

Dr. Brendan Groarke completed his primary care track internal medicine residency program in his hometown of the Bronx, NY in 2001. A National Health Scholar, he relocated with his family to Albany GA to join the award winning Albany Area Primary Health Care. For years, he enjoyed the close relationships with his with his patients in this health manpower shortage area. Meanwhile, hospital medicine was evolving into a new medical specialty. Excited at the prospect of improving patient outcomes by working with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Groarke became a hospitalist. Since then, he has been involved in projects to find and implement systems based solutions to improve the quality of care for hospitalized patients. He looks forward to sharing these skills with the medical housestaff.
