Dr. Rebala was fascinated with human body even as a child and chose to become a physician at a very young age. She completed her Medical School in India and moved to United States. After completing her Residency in Internal Medicine at Wright State University, she was accepted to Emory University Nephrology program. Dr. Rebala developed an interest in Nephrology which gives her an opportunity to utilize the spectrum of skills she developed over the years to treat patients holistically. She moved to Athens area after completing her Fellowship and went into Private Practice. She serves as Medical Director for Apheresis and In-Patient HemoDialysis at Athens Regional Medical Center. When an opportunity presented itself to teach Medical Students she agreed and she fell in love with teaching Medical Students with unique perspective of a Community Physician. Dr. Rebala’s clinical interests focus on improving quality of life for Kidney patients by emphasizing and providing options such as homedialysis and transplant. In addition Dr. Rebala’s interests include Apheresis to treat patients with some rare diseases.
