Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Bond attended Duke University where she obtained her BA in History in 1990. She received her degree in Medicine with Distinction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 and her residency training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA in 1997. Dr. Bond moved to Georgia in 1997 with her husband Dr. Toby Bond where she has practiced general internal medicine in Peachtree City, GA followed by Emory University Student Health in Atlanta, before moving to Athens in 2003. She has been teaching with the GRU/UGA Medical Partnership since its inception in 2010. Dr. Bond currently serves as Assistant Professor and the Site Clerkship Director in Internal Medicine for the Athens Campus while continuing to see patients in private practice part time. She enjoys teaching clinical skills to the first year students and instructing the 3rd year students on Internal Medicine. Teaching has become a passion of hers that she hopes to continue with the development of the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
