Frank Bonilla, MD Was born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic where he received his undergraduate medical education. He earned his MD degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. He Completed Internal Medicine Residency From St Vincent’s Medical Center at Bridgeport, CT from 2011 to 2014. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He Moved to Athens, GA in July 2014 and Joined the hospitalist group of Athens Regional Medical Center. He is Also Part of the Core faculty of the newly accredited Internal Medicine Program at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
Dr Bonilla is very passionate about teaching and his primary interest is be involved in the development of new physicians interested in the patient as a whole not as a diagnosis. His Interest Include Outpatient medicine and particularly Patient Centered Care. His Seminar consisted in building a patient Center medical Home in a Internal Medicine Residency. His Practice philosophy emphasizes Patient education regarding their conditions especially in those with chronic diseases. Also important aspect of his practice is a multidisciplinary approach to each and every patient to assured a patient centered care.
Dr Bonilla Lives with his Wife, Nedsely here In Athens. He Enjoys Biking and playing basketball in his free time.
